Devoni Cartwright

Hi there, I'm Devoni! I am originally from North Carolina, and I joined the Marine Corps right out of high school. I was an infantry man and did two tours in Afghanistan while I was in. In my last year of enlistment I met my wife, who was also serving, on a nearby base. We quickly got married in 2014, started our family, and began moving around the country until we found a place that felt like "home".  In 2020 I made the life-changing decision to relocate our family to Kailua-Kona in Hawaii. I instantly fell in love with the island's beauty and have been enchanted by its inviting waters ever since. I am extremely passionate about the ocean and all its wonders. Spear fishing, free diving, underwater photographing,  and surfing are just a few activities I do in my free time. The ocean truly captured my heart, especially after getting PADI scuba diving certified. My three young children, like myself, have developed a deep love for the ocean and I try to share my knowledge about marine life with them as much as possible. I have been a safety shark diver for almost 2 years now, and underwater photography is my passion. I love capturing all things underwater! Whether it's people snorkeling, surfing, wildlife, or couples underwater together, I love it all!
